The Conference Prize

The Protection Project Conference Prize is a scholarship awarded to exceptional university students and young professionals, who exhibit an interest in and commitment to human rights, to attend an international human rights conference. The purpose of the prize is to expose students and young professionals to current issues in the field of human rights. The candidates compete for the prize by drafting a motivational statement and exhibiting proven interest in international human rights. Following the conference, the selected candidate is requested to complete a short applied research project relating to the subject matter of the conference. Conference Prize 2011 – Requirements

 

Past Prizes Awarded

  • The first prize was awarded to Ms. Jill Craig from the United States to attend the conference entitled: “United Nations Global Initiative to Fight Trafficking (UN.GIFT) Vienna Forum” in Vienna, Austria on February 12-15, 2008.
  • The second prize was awarded to Ms. Jessica Morrison from the United States to attend the conference entitled “Regional Human Rights Mechanisms: The European Convention on Human Rights and the Arab Charter on Human Rights” at the SAIS Bologna Center in Bologna, Italy, on December 2-3, 2008.
