Enhancing Cooperation with Civil Society Worldwide
In December 2006, The Protection Project reached an agreement of cooperation with the Bibliotheca Alexandrina in Alexandria, Egypt. The agreement outlines avenues for cooperation and future partnership activities, especially assessing the processes of democratic reform in the Middle East.
In January 2007, The Protection Project reached an agreement of cooperation with the Ricky Martin Foundation in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The agreement outlines steps for future partnership activities, which include join projects in researching and addressing the problem of trafficking in persons in Puerto Rico. In implementing this agreement, a joint publication was released in March 2007, entitled “Aproximaciones legales para combatir la trata de personas: Una perspective internacional y comparada (Comprehensive Approaches to Combating Trafficking in Persons: An International and Comparative Perspective)”.
