Map: Southeastern EuropeThis website includes all relevant information on trafficking in persons in the individual countries of the SEE, specifically Albania, Bulgaria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Romania, and Serbia and Montenegro (Kosovo). This website is designed to provide pertinent information about the two-folded Capacity Building Program. The Training Program and the Exchange Program are the two tiers of the Capacity Building Program. The Training Program includes 7 specialized sessions over a two-day period on the following topics: the development of anti-trafficking legislation, the use of existing legislation to prosecute traffickers, the role of governments and NGOs and their cooperation on this matter, information sharing among governments, and public awareness in presenting a case of trafficking in persons. On the other hand, the Exchange Program takes place in Washington, D.C. over a period of ten days and focuses on the practical application of means used to combat trafficking in persons, such as developing appropriate governmental responses through legislation, action plans, task forces and cooperation with NGOs.

This website also includes contact information for all the participants of the Training Programs and the Exchange Program as well as legislative frameworks, reports, articles and other related materials.
