The Protection Project International Human Rights Internship is designed to provide for a rigorous academic and professional experience in the field of human rights for the purpose of fostering both grassroots and government level leadership and support of human rights values in targeted countries throughout the world. The Internship recipients will be responsible for a number of projects related to human rights, including conducting legal research, editing human trafficking publications, and assisting in the organizations of workshops and conferences, both nationally and internationally.
The Interns will also have the opportunity to establish professional contacts in the field of human rights and to develop collaborative research and professional relationships by participating in the daily activities of The Protection Project. The Interns will aslo be able to participate in a wide variety of activities taking place in Washington D.C. at various academic institutions, governmental, non-governmental, and international organizations and attend conferences, seminars and workshops held by leading institutions in the field of human rights.
Terms of the Internship
The Protection Project will award 6 positions from Tuesday, June 10, 2014 to Friday, August 8, 2014. Positions are available both part time and full time. This is an UNPAID internship position.
